The 4.7” International Staunton Chess Pieces are a reproduction of English chess sets popular around 1800, representing the traditional designs that came before the modern Staunton standard. Each chessman is hand-carved and finished with an aged appearance inspired by classic chess pieces.
The pieces are double-weighted with lead studs inside the bases for added stability on the chessboard. The set combines Bud Rosewood and Ebony wood and includes extra queens for pawn promotion.
