The Premium Staunton chess pieces are carefully carved from Bud Rosewood and Boxwood. Each chessman has a green leather felt base designed to help protect the chessboard surface during play. The pieces are individually hand polished with solid lacquer and a buffing wheel for a smooth, finished appearance.
